Corbin Man Facing Jail Time After Alleged Threat Involving a Firearm


Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Corbin City Police recently made an arrest in connection to an apparent terroristic threat.

Deputies were dispatched to a business located on U.S. Route 25W, after a male subject armed with a pistol was reported. The suspect, later identified as Kyle Wilson of Corbin, allegedly threatened to shoot another male subject inside the business.

Upon arrival at the scene, Laurel County deputies noted that Corbin City Police had already detained the suspect. Authorities then conducted an investigation, where they learned that the suspect had allegedly brought the handgun inside the business and brandished it at the victim.

According to police, Wilson had taken the handgun and placed it inside a vehicle prior to law enforcement arrival. The firearm was discovered to contain a full magazine and one round loaded in the chamber of the weapon.

Kyle Wilson was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center and charged with 3rd Degree Terroristic Threatening, 1st Degree Wanton Endangerment, Menacing, 2nd Degree Disorderly Conduct.
