WHAT TO KNOW
EKU (2-1) rolled past Ohio Chillicothe, 129-43, on Tuesday evening at McBrayer.
Eight Colonels reached double figures in the game, led by sophomore Jomaru Brown’s 22.
Senior Ty Taylor poured in 20 points on six three-pointers. Junior Russhard Cruickshank made his first career start and responded with 15 points and team bests in assists (six) and steals (six).
Junior Cameron Carmical scored a career-high 10 points in the win.
Freshman Michael Moreno recorded his first career double-double on the night. The Georgetown, Kentucky native finished with 10 points and a team-best 13 rebounds (six of them offensive).
6-10 Freshman Tariq Balogun made his collegiate debut vs. Ohio Chillicothe and delivered 13 points and five rebounds.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
WKU comes into the matchup with a record of 2-0 following wins versus a pair of Ohio Valley Conference teams – 76-64 over Tennessee Tech and 97-75 over Austin Peay.
Graduate transfer Camron Justice leads the Hiltoppers in scoring at 18.5 points-per-game. Charles Bassey averages a double-double of 13.5 points and 10.5 rebounds-per-game.
This will be the 159th meeting between EKU and WKU. The Hilltoppers lead the all-time series, 114-44, and won the last meeting between the two teams on Nov. 29, 2017 in Bowling Green.
The last time WKU visited McBrayer Arena, the Colonels defeated the Hilltoppers, 78-59, on Nov. 30, 2016.
