Richmond Parks & Rec to Present Chili Dinner

Richmond Parks & Recreation is presenting the 2019 Chili Supper and Auction Fundraiser, an event that brings together the Madison County and Richmond Communities to raise money for MCSO athletes for their year-round sports teams.

This event will feature a chili meal that costs $6 for adults (12 and up), $4 for children (4-11), and free for young children (3 and under), and will include chili and toppings, drink, and dessert, with all proceeds of this meal going to the Madison County Special Olympics, and will be used for the athlete’s competition registration fees, uniforms, and equipment.

The event will also feature both silent and live auctions with dozens of items and gifts that have been donated by 100+ local and surrounding businesses and individuals.

Donations range from ski passes, fishing poles, music instruments, sporting event tickets, salon gift certificates, hotel room rentals, theater tickets, handmade items, and so much more. All proceeds of the auction will go to funding Madison County Special Olympic athletes for 2020 sporting events and competitions.

There will be a friendly Chili Cook-off competition between the Richmond Fire and Police Departments, Silent and Live Auctions, and activities for the children.

The dinner will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Richmond, KY Friday from 6-9pm.
