Madison County will see numerous cowboys and cowgirls this weekend as Pro Rodeo is bringing their special event to the Fairgrounds Friday and Saturday (Oct. 11 & 12).
WBON-TV spoke with event organizer J.R. Drake, and he told us all about what everyone can expect to see at this family-friendly event. Among the many attractions are bull-riding, cattle roping, and saddle-bronc riding. These events will showcase riders from across the country.
That’s not all though, as J.R. told us that the event will also offer a popular kids activity known as “mutton busting” where children up to 50 pounds can ride sheep. Kids can also get in for free with a free kids ticket which can be picked up at various locations around the county, including the station of WBON.
The gates will open at 6:30 p.m., and the event is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. J.R. tells us that the show will last about two and a half hours and that there will be plenty of good food for patrons of the show.
Note: The free kids tickets are only valid with the purchase of an adult ticket.
