Berea Police early this morning took into custody a man employed at the Madison County Detention Center.
According to the citation, police arrived at the scene on Brooklyn Blvd following an alleged domestic violence complaint. When they arrived on scene, they encountered the victim, who told officers that she and her boyfriend had gotten into an altercation following multiple alcoholic beverages allegedly being consumed by Zachariah Willis.
The victim told police that Willis had allegedly gotten in her face and yelled at her, and a physical altercation ensued.
The victim alleges that Willis then hit her in the face, and police documented noticeable redness under her eye.
Willis had called family to be picked up, and was located on Glades Road in Berea a short time thereafter.
Willis has denied all accusations, and was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center, transferred to the Clark County Jail, and then released earlier today. He was charged with 4th Degree Assault (Domestic Violence), Minor Injury.
