EKU Police Arrest Man Impersonating a Police Officer

EKU Police responded to a call last Friday night in reference to a suspicious male subject, later identified as William Pollard of Richmond, on campus.

Allegedly, Pollard had entered McGregor Hall and stated that he was an undercover EKU police officer. He also reportedly claimed that he had just prevented a bicycle theft. According to the citation, Pollard had followed a student into the dormitory which is a secured residence hall that requires a fob to enter. Authorities determined that he had no legitimate reason to be there.

Pollard then left the campus, and was later arrested at a nearby residence. Police charged Pollard with Impersonating a Peace Officer and 2nd Degree Criminal Trespassing.
