Police: Fight Over Facebook Ends in Strangulation Charges for Richmond Man


Police recently responded to a call regarding an alleged assault, and took a man into custody as a result.

The citation reports that Christopher Mclemore and the victim whom he was living with and in a relationship with got into an argument over Facebook pictures the suspect was posting with other women.

Police state that Mclemore then reportedly grabbed the victim, covered her mouth, and allegedly squeezed her face to the point that she had trouble breathing for over a minute.

The victim reported to police that during this period, Mclemore allegedly got on top of her and she was fearing for her life. Visible injuries to the victim were photographed and logged by the Richmond Police Department.

Mclemore was taken into custody, and charged with 1st Degree Strangulation. He is lodged in the Madison County Detention Center. He was also charged with three counts of contempt of court.
