19th Annual Kids Fest Looks to Provide Fun for the Whole Family


The Richmond Parks and Recreation Department is announcing that the 19th annual Kids Fest will be held this September 13th and 14th. The event is free and will take place at Irvine McDowell Park.

Friday’s activities will include a free screening of the movie “Ralph Breaks the Internet”. Activities provided will begin at 6:00pm and the movie will begin at dusk.

Saturday’s activities will take place from 11am-5pm. There will be inflatable play equipment, games and prizes, balloons, face painting, craft and business booths/vendors, stage show acts, and walk-around characters. A petting zoo will also be on site.

The entertainment on Saturday begins at 12:00pm with Nu Revolution. At 1:00pm, there will be a special stage performance of Daniel Boone: The First Kentuckian. Moberly’s Martial Arts will present an anti-bullying demonstration, and at 3:00pm The Space Painter will go on. At 4:00pm, the KY Reptile Zoo will provide a fun and exciting show for all ages to close out the event.
