Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested 21-year-old Isaias Alguera on charges related to distribution and possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
According to a Facebook post from the Kentucky State Police, Alguera was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch initiated the investigation after allegedly discovering that Alguera was sharing images of children being sexually exploited online.
The investigation resulted in a knock and talk at a residence in Georgetown on August 27. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.
Alguera was taken to the Scott County Detention Center where he was charged with Distribution of Matter Portraying a Minor in a Sexual Performance and three counts of Possession of Matter Portraying a Minor in a Sexual Performance. These charges are Class-D felonies punishable by one to five years in prison. The investigation is currently ongoing.
