Court Indicts David Sparks on Murder Charges in Savannah Spurlock Case

David Allen Sparks has now been indicted on murder charges regarding the Savannah Spurlock investigation, according to court documents.

Savannah Spurlock had last been seen in January, leaving a Lexington bar with Sparks and another male subject. It was Sparks who was later arrested in July after authorities located Spurlock’s buried remains on property owned by his family.

Sparks was initially charged with tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.

Officials have not released an official cause of death for Savannah Spurlock, and the investigation remains ongoing. Sparks is still currently lodged in the Lincoln County Detention Center, and is set for an arraignment on September 6th.
