2nd Annual “Big Boy Toys Show” to be Held at First Baptist Church of Richmond

If you have a cool car, an impressive tractor, or a nice boat you can bring it to the 2nd annual Big Boy Toys Car & Hobby Show being held at the First Baptist Church of Richmond on September 14th!

First Baptist Church of Richmond’s Men’s Ministry Director, Paul Purcell, told WBON all about the exhibition. The event, which starts at 9 a.m., will be judged by everyone in attendance and the Top 25 winners will receive trophies. A live DJ will also be at the event.

It’s not all just about cars, either. Purcell says that entrants can bring in items like model cars and model airplanes to the event. “We also had a Mack 18-wheeler truck, we had some off-road vehicles,” Purcell said of last year’s show.

The money raised through registration will benefit the Sunrise Children’s Home, a nonprofit organization which provides care and community-based services for children who are under the care of the state. A portion of the funds raised will also go towards First Priority of Madison County.

Event entrants can pre-register for the event on the church’s website (www.firstbaptistnet.com) until September 7th, or they can register at the church on the day of the event.
