Madison County Teacher Arrested on Violation of EPO

According to a citation from Richmond Police Department, a Madison County teacher was recently taken into custody on a violation of an EPO after he allegedly “accidentally” called a woman with whom he had a restraining order with.

Police report that they attempted to contact Benjamin Dwayne Walker at Michael Caudill Middle School as the area was his place of employment. However, according to the citation, Walker had already left the school and had been previously contacted by the principal in regards to him allegedly making a phone call to a victim that he was not allowed to contact.

Walker said that this call was accidental. Walker then allegedly advised officers that he would be in the area of Sean Pierson’s law office on East Main within twenty minutes. When police arrived, Walker was speaking to his attorney, but was advised to not speak to officers.

However, he was still placed under arrest and was transported to the Madison County Detention Center and charged with violation of Kentucky EPO/DVO. The protection order indicates that there shall be no contact from either party, both of which have been served.
