WBON-TV’s Samantha Burford went to the American Legion Post 12 to learn more about their 100th Anniversary event.
The event, which takes place on August 17th at 12:00pm, will commemorate the Post’s 100th Anniversary and act as a veteran memorial dedication. Event Coordinator David Gannon tells us that there will be vendors, live music, food, drinks, and children’s activities at the event.
Gannon says organizations that assist veterans will also be present. “When I say veterans, I’m talking to anybody that’s worn a uniform”, says Gannon.
There are also still opportunities to purchase honor bricks to be placed at the new Veteran’s Memorial. The bricks will include your loved one’s military information and be displayed at the Memorial site.
