Update: 16-Year-Old Charged, Victim Named in Richmond Shooting


Update: Richmond Police report that a 16 year old juvenile has been charged in connection with the shooting. The teen is now looking at charges of possession of handgun by a minor, and 1st degree assault. The victim, 39-year-old David Richardson of Richmond remains in critical yet stable condition.

The actual scene was off of Hill Street as seen in the picture above. The man is receiving treatment and is in critical but stable condition. Police have reportedly arrested 3 juveniles in connection with the gunshots. The victim did not live at the home he was discovered at.

Update: three juveniles are now in custody and another suspect is being sought for questioning.

Richmond Police report early this morning around 4:43 a.m., they responded to a disturbance near East Irvine and Hill Street and found one male subject with an apparent, visible gunshot wound.

Details are still coming in, and police will soon be issuing a formal release. There is still a large police presence in the area as they investigate the scene.

The male subject was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
