Richmond Man Allegedly Threatens to Kill Victim, Charged with Assault


A Richmond man was recently taken into custody after he allegedly told a victim, “If God gave me the strength, I could kill you right now and beat your brains out”. He then allegedly hit the victim and kicked her multiple times, resulting in injuries.

Richmond Police report that they arrived at the scene on East Main Street where they encountered the victim and and 58-year-old Eduardo Hernandez. The victim said there was a sudden mood change to Hernandez, which she believed was the result of alcohol.

After allegedly threatening her, the citation continues that Hernandez struck the victim with a closed fist and proceeded to kick her.

When speaking to police, Hernandez denied ever hitting the victim, however police report he seemed under the influence with slurred speech.

He was arrested and charged with assault, and remains in the Madison County Detention Center.
