A Nap in the Car Leads to the Arrest of Berea Man

Yesterday morning, Berea police made an arrest after responding to a call in reference to a white male possibly sleeping in his car with the doors open at Walmart.

According to reports, officers made contact with 45 year old Barry Scott Roberts, having to nudge him to wake him up. After police ran Roberts through dispatch they reportedly advised the officer of Roberts having 4 warrants for his arrest.

The report states that multiple pill bottles containing Prednisone, Diazepam, Suboxone and Gabapentin, were found inside the vehicle. The subject also informed the officer of two meth pipes in the front seat.

Madison County EMS responded to the scene and transported Roberts to the hospital. Upon arrival at the hospital, the officer observed Roberts drop a green baggie into a trash can, which he later admitted to be Methamphetamine.
