Police: Fight with Butcher Knife Ends in Stabbing


Richmond police arrested a man after he allegedly stabbed another person in her head with a butcher knife early Tuesday morning.

Officers were dispatched to Turpin Drive in Richmond, and saw the victim sitting in the driveway, holding her head. 63-year-old Aaron Walters had allegedly stabbed her with a knife and punched her.

Reports state that the victim had a large laceration to the back of her head and facial fractures.

Witnesses on scene told police that they heard the commotion and observed the victim running away from Walters.

According to a citation, Walters appeared to be heavily intoxicated.

The victim was transported to Baptist Health Richmond.

Walters was charged with assault first-degree (domestic violence) and taken to the Madison County Detention Center.
