39 marijuana plants found growing at a residence in Berea, two arrested

In an effort to combat the ongoing drug issue in the city of Berea, they now have a full time street crimes unit.

Two people have been arrested Tuesday after suspicious plants were found growing in their premises.

Officers with the street crimes unit received a tip about marijuana plants being grown at a residence on Blue Lick Road.

They responded to the address and spoke to the residents before eventually searching the property.

A total of 39 marijuana plants were found growing on the premises, along with some paraphernalia items.

Officers arrested 20 year old Vincent Perry of Berea KY at the residence. As the result of further investigation, they also charged 40 year old Marshall Laws who was already incarcerated at the Madison County Detention Center.

They were both charged with Cultivating Marijuana (5 Plants or More) 1st Offense and Drug Paraphernalia Possession.
