Woman Allegedly Passed out at the Pump Receives Drug, Trafficking Charges

Berea Police officers were recently called to Circle K on Richmond Road in reference to a woman passed out in the parking lot at a gas pump, and ended up charging her with possession of multiple substances.

When police arrived, they were able to wake 30-year-old Allison Scroggins of Berea as her car door was unlocked and they were able to access her. According to the citation, officers immediately recognized needles and suspected methamphetamine in plain view inside of Scroggins’s car.

Upon a search, morphine pills, xanax, suspected heroin and additional amounts of suspected methamphetamine was located. All substances, according to the citation, were sent to the Kentucky State Police lab for testing. The large amount of some of these substances warranted trafficking charges once police seized them.

Scroggins was taken into custody and charged with Public Intoxication, Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine), Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, and Drug Paraphernalia Possession. She was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
