Laurel County man arrested over false report involving being held at gunpoint


According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, a man called in a report on Tuesday claiming an individual was being held at gunpoint.

Reportedly, upon arrival at the scene, deputies contacted the complainant and determined that the incident did not happen. The report was determined false and Jared W. McQueen was charged with falsely reporting an incident and was lodged in the Laurel County Corrections Center.
