Richmond man arrested after domestic dispute call


Richmond Police were dispatched to a reference to a domestic assault that led to the arrest of a male subject.

Upon police arrival to the scene, they reportedly spoke with the girlfriend of 26-year-old Christopher Isaacs. The victim advised authorities that Isaacs had been drinking and that they got into and argument regarding a vehicle. The girlfriend advised authorities that she was hiding the keys in her pocket to keep Isaacs from taking the car.

Eventually, according to the girlfriend, she gave the keys to Isaacs, where he then pushed her causing her to retaliate and push back. Isaacs then proceeded to hit her in the face with a closed fist. Police state that they observed a large knot on her left cheek as well as a small cut to her upper lip.

Police report talking to Isaacs, who stated that his girlfriend began hitting him first and even started throwing rocks. He also advised authorities “you wouldn’t be able to see” his injuries because his skin doesn’t bruise easily.

When asked about the knot on his girlfriends face, Isaacs admits to punching her out of self defense.

Isaacs was arrested and transported to the Madison County Detention center on charges of 4th degree Assault.
