Firefighters in Berea had to physically restrain a suspect recently before he was able to be taken into custody, according to Berea police. The incident began when the Berea Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in the 100 block of Chestnut Street.
While the firefighters were working the scene, 37-year-old Grant Graham of Berea approached them and allegedly pushed one of the firefighters from behind. Graham then reportedly pushed a second firefighter and lunged at him.
Police detail that Graham had to be restrained by all of the firefighters on scene until officers arrived. Officers determined that he showed several signs of impairment, and charged Graham with Public Intoxication and Assault 3rd Degree (Fire, EMS, Rescue).
