Berea Family Dollar manager arrested for alleged theft, drug charges


A store manager in Berea was arrested over the weekend for allegedly stealing money.

32-year-old Heather Philips was a manager at the Family Dollar in Berea and was working when over $800 went missing from the store.

According to reports, after an investigation concerning the theft, Philips was placed under arrest.

As she was being transported to the Berea Police Department, police reportedly found around 2.7 grams of suspected methamphetamine inside her shoe.

Philips was charged with theft by unlawful taking $500 or more, first degree trafficking controlled substance, and tampering with physical evidence.
