Baby allegedly ingests methamphetamine, four arrested


Four individuals were arrested Wednesday afternoon for an incident related to drugs and a child under 12 years old.

The incident happened at around 12:30 P.M. The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office was reportedly notified of a seven month old child that had allegedly ingested or been exposed to methamphetamine at a residence off Ray Johnson Road.

Reports state that the child was transported to St. Joseph Hospital London and then transferred to the neo-natal intensive care unit at the University of Kentucky Medical Center for treatment.

According to reports, four adult individuals were arrested including two of which were caregivers for the child, and two that were present at the residence. 59-year-old Linda Mays (caregiver), 25-year-old Lyndsey Browning (caregiver), 34-year-old Christopher Mays and 59-year-old Russell Mays were charged with first-degree criminal abuse (child 12 and under).
