Man Falsely Gives Brother’s Information to Police, Gets Arrested on Brother’s Warrant Initially, then on his own Warrant


According to Berea Police, officers came into contact with 40-year-old Dana Moore on Calico Road. He initially gave officers his brother’s information as Wesley Moore, and he was placed under arrest based on the fact that his brother (Wesley) had an outstanding arrest warrant.

Police report that when it was discovered that Moore had given the wrong identity, it was not until he was in the jail by the detention center staff. He was then charged with Theft of Identity of Another and Giving an Officer False Identifying Information.

However, it was found that he himself also also had an outstanding arrest warrant. Moore is lodged in the Madison County Detention Center. He was charged with the following:
