Man allegedly violates domestic violence order, assaults girlfriend


Police report recently responding to a call in reference to a possible domestic violence incident. Upon arrival, officials state talking to 26-year-old Jesse Allen Saunders who informed police of a verbal argument between him and his girlfriend.

Police detail that an interview with the girlfriend would reveal that the two were arguing for an extensive period of time throughout the day.

According to reports, Saunders’s girlfriend texted her friend to be “picked up” and escape the situation. This led Saunders to become irate.

The girlfriend told investigators that he then allegedly struck her on the right eye and proceeded to hold her down and prevent her from moving.

Police report learning of a previously filed Domestic Violence Order (DVO) between the two stating that the two were to have no physical contact. Saunders was arrested for 4th degree Assault (domestic violence) and was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
