Heroin located on a Richmond man passed out in a ditch


The Richmond Police Department responded to Foxhaven Drive Apartment in Richmond in reference to a person being passed out…apparently face-down in a ditch.

Upon further investigation, officials found out that he had allegedly used Xanax one hour prior to officers arriving on scene.

Police also discovered a chewing gum wrapper with a small grayish substance, which was suspected to be heroin.

Police report that 27-year-old Jessy Register ran across a four lane highway while traffic was passing by in attempt to flee from officers while he was detained. He stated that he ran because he knew that he had a warrant for shoplifting out of Fayette County. However, when his record was ran police report in the citation that they did not see proof of this.

He was arrested and lodged at the Madison County Detention Center.
