Couple wanted in connection to a robbery at Love’s in Laurel County

Police are seeking two people in connection to a robbery at a truck stop in Laurel County.

The incident happened around 6 A.M on Friday at Love’s, approx. 10 miles South of London.

According to Laurel County Sherrif’s Office Facebook page, the couple shoplifted electronic items and several tools from the shop. The manager confronted the pair outside but they drove away, striking the manager’s leg with his vehicle. They fled the scene and headed westbound on KY 77.

Officials managed to locate the vehicle five miles away from the scene of the robbery and initiated a traffic stop. The suspects ignored it and almost hit several children awaiting their school bus.

The couple traveled a short distance to where the roadway ends and fled on foot into the heavily wooded area on Dewberry Lane.

Officers were able to recover their van but they are still searching for the suspects. The two will face several charges including robbery, assault, wanton endangerment, and fleeing or evading police.
