Richmond Kroger Gas Station Lead Worker Allegedly Steals $600 from Employer

A gas station lead worker from the Richmond Kroger location was recently taken into custody following an investigation by loss prevention. According to police, Angie Gibbs has allegedly finagled returns so that she was able to make away with $600.00. Gibbs reportedly would make false returns on gas and cigarettes so that she could pocket the cash.

Police add that Gibbs provided a written statement saying that she did in fact take the money, and said that she did so because she had been evicted from her residence and needed to pay bills.

Copies of all receipts and Gibbs’s written statement were logged as evidence by Richmond Police Department, and she was taken to the Detention Center and charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking and Shoplifting over $500.00.
