Another Search & Rescue team making its way to Kentucky to help find missing Richmond mom


The search still continues for missing 23 year old Richmond mom Savannah Spurlock.

Another search and rescue team is making its way to Kentucky to help with the search. The Texas Equusearch Ohio/ Midwest Chapter will be setting up a command center here this Saturday, February 16.

Spurlock has been missing for more than a month. She was last seen leaving The Other Bar in Lexington on January 4 with three men. Further investigations revealed that she went to a Garrard County home after leaving the bar. No arrests have been made.

Various departments have all worked together to try and locate Spurlock: The Richmond Police Department, Cajun Coast Search & Rescue, Garrard County Police Department, Garrard County Emergency Management, Kentucky State Police and more. Still no luck.

ATV and foot searchers are needed. More information to come once the group sets up the command center.

Requirements for public volunteers:

  • 18+ years of age
  • Have a valid Driver’s license or state ID
  • Physically able to search
  • Dressed for the weather
