Berea Declared Kentucky Veterans Hall of Fame City


During the Tuesday night city council meeting it was declared that Berea is now a Kentucky Vetrans Hall of Fame city.  The city has been given a road sign honoring veterans to be placed in a public area.  There will also be two parking spots reserved for veterans at city hall.

Chief of Police David Gregory spoke in regards to the recent attack on EKU’s campus.  He wanted to remind Berea College students to avoid shortcuts, travel in groups, and stay in well lite areas at night.   He also announced that February 21st at Cracker Barrel at 8 A.M. will be coffee with a cop.

Lastly,  it was announced that the Madison County Library has digitized the Berea City Council minutes from 1908 to 1925. The minutes can be read on the library’s website.
