Man Accused of Making Threatening Phone Calls to Daycares

On January 16th, The Danville Police Department conducted an investigation into threatening phone calls that had been placed to Little Lighthouse Daycare, Bate Middle School and the First Care Clinic.

According to their facebook post, the unknown caller, called from a blocked number and made sexually explicit threats to the employees. He also allegedly made threats to sexually assault the children at Bate Middle School and the Little Lighthouse Daycare.

Danville Police began working the case after the initial calls were received. After an investigation was conducted, officers were able to develop a suspect in the case: 31 year old Jermaine Buster.

Officers located the suspect as the passenger in a vehicle leaving the Perkins Avenue area around 3pm. Officers reportedly conducted a traffic stop and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Buster was charged with two counts of Terroristic Threatening 2nd Degree and 1 count of Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree. Buster is a registered sex offender with a listed address of Perkins Avenue in Danville.
