Woman Found Passed out in Berea Mcdonald’s and Later Dies Leads to Trafficking, Assault Charges for Local Man


A female that was found not breathing at the Mcdonald’s in berea and later died led to trafficking and assault charges for a man related to the case. According to police, officers responded to the Glades Road location, and the female in question was taken to the hospital. After an investigation, it was discovered that 28 year old Rodney Elam allegedly provided methamphetamine to the victim, and had attempted to take her to the restroom facilities in the fast food restaurant when she passed out. The victim, 18 year old Sarah Boyken, died as a result of lack of oxygen. An arrest warrant was obtained, and Elam was taken to the detention center. Now that Boyken has passed, more charges could be forthcoming.
