Two Women Arrested for Shoplifting and Multiple Drug Offenses at Kohl’s


Two women were arrested Wednesday night in Richmond after a call came in to police regarding shoplifting at kohl’s. 41 year old Heather Portwood allegedly admitted to police that she purposefully attempted to pass all point of sale with jewelry, valued at over 110 dollars. When Portwood’s purse was searched, a substance suspected to be methamphetamine was located, as well as pills in her wallet.

Portwood implicated her roommate, 60 year old Shellye Perry of Waco, who eventually consented to a search of the vehicle. Multiple kinds of pills and more suspected methamphetamine turned up in the search of the car. They were both booked into the detention center and charged with multiple drug offenses, as well as theft by unlawful taking for Portwood.
