A Multitude of Meth Arrests Over Christmas Weekend

A Mount Vernon man was recently arrested by Berea Police after he was allegedly caught trafficking in methamphetamine. The vehicle with 47 Randell Lakes operating it was pulled over on Chestnut street as it had expired tags. It was discovered that Lakes was wanted on a warrant out of Jackson county for trafficking in meth and a handful of other charges and traffic violations. When Lakes was subsequently searched, it was discovered that he had nearly 7 grams of suspected methamphetamine on is person, to which he admitted belonged to him. He was arrested and lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.

 

Berea Police also made another methamphetamine arrest recently, of a woman from London. According to the arrest citation, 26 year old Whitney Greer was wanted on a warrant out of Scott County, and had been pulled over on Prince Royal Drive by Officers, who then searched her. It was discovered that she had suspected methamphetamine, a pipe, suspected marijuana, as well as a pill in her pants pocket. She was arrested and charged with possession of all three drugs as well as paraphernalia and lodged in the detention center.

 

In yet another drug arrest by Berea police, 37 year old Lisa Gilliam was also found with methamphetamine on her person after a traffic stop over the weekend. Officers allegedly pulled over the vehicle and report that Gilliam could not provide an operator’s license. Gilliam allegedly lied and said she had no substances on her, but during a search attempted to hide a small baggie full of methamphetamine. She was arrested and lodged in the detention center.

 

Lastly, in a third methamphetamine arrest, an Irvine man now has trafficking in over two grams or more of meth on his rap sheet. Kentucky State Police located 43 year old Kristopher Estes on Irvine Road and located multiple bags full of suspected methamphetamine on his person. Estes had apparently set up potential drug deals with a confidential informant through the Irvine Police Department previously. He was arrested on a warrant as well as the new charges for trafficking in methamphetamine.
