CINCINNATI, Ohio – Senior Nick Mayo became the all-time leading scorer in Eastern Kentucky University men’s basketball history on Saturday night in the Colonels’ 95-77 loss at Xavier. Mayo finished the game with 25 points, six rebounds, two assists and a career-high five steals. His three-pointer at the 10:58 mark of the first half gave him 1,835 career points, moving him past Matt Witt (2002-06) to No. 1 on EKU’s all-time scoring list. Nick is averaging 24.5 points per game this season. That leads the Ohio Valley Conference He is 9th in the Country in scoring. EKU returns to action Saturday at Duquesne with game time set for 2:00.
