New Details Involving Fatal Accident on I-75


The victim’s name has been released involved in the deadly accident last night on the southbound lanes of I-75 near mile marker 73. Taunya Matsuda, age 61 from Columbus Ohio was reportedly seen on the side of the road attempting to flag down drivers after she apparently ran out of gas. Initial findings indicate Matsuda may have been hit by oncoming traffic more than once, which caused her fatal injuries. The traffic problems were further compounded as a reconstruction team had to respond to work the scene.
The accident created a massive traffic stand still for hours of both lanes of I-75 southbound, starting around the scene, at mile marker 73 in Madison County. The incident occurred around 6:15pm last night, the other driver and other details have not been released at this time.
