Following on the heels of President Donald Trump’s visit to Richmond and EKU this weekend where he voiced his full support for the re-election of Congressman Barr, we pieced together the two minute sitdown with Barr from earlier in his campaign.

Congressman Barr has served as the U.S. Representative for Kentucky’s Sixth Congressional District since January, 2013. He explained he has been a Member of the Committee on Financial Services, and also serves as Chairman of the Monetary Policy and Trade Subcommittee.

Barr says he wants to continue to work for the people of the 6th District of Kentucky, by continuing his work going to Washington to represent those here in Central Kentucky.

Barr spoke about nation-wide and world-wide issues that go on in Washington, but of most importance that we spoke about concerned the drug epidemic, of which Kentucky has the 3rd-highest rate of drug mortality in the entire country.

Barr elaborated that this past term in particular, he saw to it that great strides were made in fighting the drug epidemic during his two minute sitdown. Listing off the bills that have been passed in Washington, Barr says that these will directly help those in Central

Financial peace of mind for Kentuckians is important to Barr, he adds, and assures those in the area that there is more work to be done and he wants to continue to work for the people of the 6th Congressional district. As this race in particular seems to be getting contentious, Barr urged all those in the 6th Congressional District to get out and vote this November 6th.
