Open Concern Celebrates Nearly 50 Years of Service to School Children, Hosts Open House

After 48 years of providing clothing to Madison County school children, the non profit and thrift store in Richmond Open Concern will be hosting an open house. The event kicks off at the located on East Irvine right behind CVS in downtown Richmond, and all are welcome.

We spoke to Child Coordinator Betty Blakemore who told us about the 50 years the store has provided in allowing those in need to pick whatever clothes they want, a busload of children at a time. The open house takes place on Saturday from 2-4pm. Everyone is welcome to stop by.
