The Indians of Madison Central coming off a big win over #5 Collins in the Roy Kidd Bowl stay at home for the second week of the season as they host Woodford County. Indians were led by their defense in-game one and will look to get the offense going against the Yellow Jackets. Woodford County comes in off a 40-0 loss to Danville in the Bob Allen Pigskin Classic held at Danville.
Although there wont be an AP poll until after week two of the season, Calpreps.com has released a top 20 of each class Computer rankings. Indians are #14 in it, ranked higher than any of their district opponents. Last week in the opener Derrick Miller didn’t have the start he was hoping for going 4-11 for 52 yards passing. The running game though picked up their quarterback and rushed for 330 yards. Freddy Chenault led the attack with 151 yards and 2 scores. Miller had 68 yards of his own on the ground, Ethan Hahn with 79 yards on 7 carries and a touchdown. Hahn added two catches for 32 yards with Cody Dillion and Blake Muntz each with a catch. Indians forced two turnovers in the game and held Collins to 332 yards of total offense. Woodford County didn’t upload their week one stats to the KHSAA this week.
