Two local Richmond mainstays are coming together, after an unfortunate total loss to a Big Hill staple.
Pally’s in Richmond on Water Street will be hosting a fundraiser in order to help get the doors of Bluegrass Barrel House back open for business, following an early morning fire last week.
The bar was declared a total loss, and the adjacent Bernie’s motorcycle shop also suffered damage from the inferno. Owner of BBH Raela Phoenix says that they did just get permission to open the outdoor areas of the establishment today from the ABC, so they are able to work around the loss and generate a bit of income.
However, there is still quite a bit of work to be done to the now condemned building, and Phoenix says that they are shooting to get the place up and running again by September.
Watch in the video as WBONtv speaks to the owners of both Pally’s and BBH, who gave the details of the fundraiser beginning at noon this Saturday at Pally’s. Both expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of community support for the local watering hole.
