One bank helps another:
Nearly all the local bank branches in Richmond and Berea are battling it out this month: for a good cause, of course. The battle of the banks continues through the month of June, and in this second year, the financial institutions seek to see who can gather up the most food donations for their local food banks and pantries.
Branch manager Heather Resor says they recently got a big boost at Park Community Credit Union, as they were allotted 1000$ for the two locations in Richmond and Berea to buy food for the cause.
Anyone can donate until the end of the month at nearly all local banks. Resor says it is important to help the local community, which is the foremost benefit to the competition, besides of course the plaque and bragging rights which will go to the bank that raises the most donations!
