MCKEE, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police have arrested one man in connection to a Jackson County double murder and are searching for another man who they believe was involved.

Police arrested 40-year-old Bobby L. Hammonds of McKee on Friday afternoon and charged him with two counts of murder.

Meanwhile, police say 41-year-old Terry L. Hammonds, also of McKee, is wanted on two counts of conspiracy to commit murder.

The men’s family relationship, if any, was not immediately disclosed.

Marcum and Venable were found dead in a burning vehicle on Rock Lick Road back in December 2017.

The investigation into their deaths is ongoing.
