Richmond Man Leads Police on Chase, Nearly Hits Officers

A Richmond man who said he did not want to go back to prison led police on a chase near the downtown area of Richmond last night. The chase began when police were called to a complaint on Walnut street regarding Bryan Meeker, who was at a residence allegedly damaging property of the man he says was sleeping with his girlfriend. Meeker evaded police in his vehicle and nearly hit multiple other vehicles with both officers and civilians inside. He then had to be tracked down with dogs, and was arrested on Moberly near the Marathon station. Meeker is charged with criminal mischief, wanton endangerment, fleeing and evading police, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, and burglary and lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
