Waco Fire Department Weighs in on $25K of Stolen Items, Offers Reward

Numerous items were stolen from the Waco fire station this week, resulting in the department reaching out to the public for help. Details indicate that the items were stolen between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. The department states that several items including chain saws, a thermal imaging camera, generators and more were all taken from the building.

Assistant chief Jason Rawlins says these are very necessary for the firefighters to do their jobs, and quite expensive. He says it is a shame that this happened as it is a Volunteer Fire Department, which is already in need of funds to begin with.

An award of $500 with an additional $100 offered by magistrate John Tudor are available for information leading to arrests. Contact the sheriff’s department with information.
