Today Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear was at WBON-TV studios to talk about pension reform, human trafficking, and the drug epidemic.
In this segment, Beshear explains what exactly he and his staff does for the Commonwealth, as there exists confusion at times about his position.
He also shares shocking details about the large amount of human trafficking cases that are currently being fought–right here in Kentucky.
Beshear then spoke at the Blueprint for Safety event held this afternoon at First Christian Church in Richmond. The event, held by Hopes wings domestic violence shelter in Richmond, is the culmination of three years of work in order to help get the word out for the most effective ways for women suffering from domestic violence to get help from law enforcement and the courts.
The program is available online at hopeswings.com, and is the result of partnerships with local law enforcement agencies.
