Madison Southern Host Prayer Meeting And Candle-Light Vigil

Madison Southern High School held a prayer meeting and candle-light vigil in memory of victims of the recent school shootings that occurred in Florida and Kentucky. Over twenty pastors and a total of 814 people attended the vigil. Candles were lit by Madison Southern students in memory of the seventeen victims of the shooting that occurred in Parkland, Florida last week.
Special prayers were held for students, teachers, first responders, and for the victims of the shooting in Benton, Kentucky which had two deaths and nineteen injuries last month.
Mark Sarver, pastor at the Church on The Rock in Berea said that when people can come together and put aside their differences it heals the hearts of those that are hurting.
Madison Southern recently received a threat of a school shooting but officials have stated that it was unfounded.
