Whether a avid golf player or not, anyone can now visit and enjoy the amenities at the Berea Country Club, specifically their newly remolded bar upstairs. WBON-TV visited the upstairs deck to speak to Mary Long of the country club, and soak in the views that many may not be aware of.
Long says that they are gearing up for a chili cook off and Super Bowl Sunday, and welcomes all to come out and visit to have a drink at the full service bar which was previously open solely to members. She also explained the history of the hidden gem in the hills of southern Madison County, which goes back half a century.
The Country Club, Long notes, is one of only a handful of places in the city limits that can serve alcohol without serving food, as per their liquor license, which she says makes the hangout a great place to visit for happy hour after work.
