Lady Indians Win On The Road

Madison Central went on the road to Lexington Catholic and got an impressive win in the 11th region. Lady Indians (9-10) coming of a win at East Jessamine had another test on the road. Lexington Catholic (11-8) comes into the game winners 5 of their last 6.
Catholic opened the game on a 5-0 run before Central cut the lead down to 9-8 with 3:30 left in the opening quarter. After a quarter of play Central trailed 14-13. Catholic outscores the Indians in the second quarter and they take a 25-19 lead at half. Indians enter the second half down 6 points and after 3 quarters they found themselves down 35-28. Down 7 Madison Bernard scored 5 straight points to pull the Indians within 35-33. 40 seconds later a steal and three pointer from Bailey Vanover put Central up 36-35. Central never trailed again and went on to get a big region win 49-44 outscoring the Knights 21-9 in the fourth quarter. Je’Kauri McKeithen led the team in scoring with 13 points and grabbed a team high 7 rebounds. Taleya Todd added 11 points, Madison Bernard chipped in 10 points, Vanover with 8 points 5 rebounds 3 steals and 3 assists. Logan Hudson with 4 points, Blaze Pacheco 3 points and 7 rebounds. Lady Indians return to action Thursday night at Woodford County.
