Marching For MLK on Monday


Monday, January 15th, is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Day, and as always, since 1984, the City of Richmond and the Richmond Human Rights Commission along with the area NAACP will host the Unity breakfast and march down Main Street.

We spoke to Vice Chair of the Richmond Human Rights Commission David Johnson, who detailed the history of the yearly events, as well as the whose who regarding speakers and civic leader appearances.

Johnson says that in past years, over 200 people have attended the march and breakfast, which will take place at the gymnasium at United Methodist on Main.
